Outlook slow performance issues are one among the most common problems faced while using this application to manage your personal documents like mails, messages, appointments, notes, tasks etc. It start taking a lot of time to open any applications or to perform Outlook related tasks.
Some of the probable reasons responsible behind this:
- Due to damaged Outlook profile
- When there are a large number of RSS feeds (( Really simple syndication) existing
- Because of problematic outcmd.dat, extend.dat, views.dat and frmcache.dat files
- PST corruption might also be the error reason
Solution:
In case of problematic outcmd.dat, extend.dat, views.dat and frmcache.dat files, delete them. After application startup, it will be recreated automatically
- Build a new Outlook profile when it gets corrupt or damaged
- Move on to Tools->Account Settings ->RSS feeds and select those which are not being used and disable them immediately
