Boot Camp is a utility from Mac that enables users to install Windows operating system on Intel-based operating system. This utility does it using a tool called ‘Boot Camp Assistant’ which creates Windows based partition on Mac hard drive without deleting any existing Mac OS X information. Once this Boot camp is created Mac user can easily switch between Mac OS X and Windows just by holding ‘Alt’ key during the start up. Although the process of creating partition is very easy but at times it may results into complete data loss if the below mentioned activities occurred –
- If the Mac hard drive becomes damage or corrupt.
- Operating system faces any installation faults.
- Any external hard drive is connected.
- Mac hard drive does not have sufficient space.
- Sharing option is turned on etc.
In most of the situations user encounter error messages related to that like something like –
“Your startup disk cannot be partitioned because verification failed. Start up your Macintosh from a Mac OS X Install Disc and use Disk Utility to repair your startup disk…”
In such scenario if the data stored in the hard drive becomes inaccessible and the inbuilt utilities fail to resolve the issue then in order to recover the inaccessible and lost data back user need to use third party OS X Data Recovery software which will effectively recover all the Mac data and will store it in a safe and secure place from where it can be accessed easily. So, just use this tool and say by-bye to inaccessible and lost data.
