iPhoto is a great application of Mac OS X which contains the digital photos stored into it. Using this application you can edit, share and print the digital photos easily and effectively. When you upload the photos in iPhoto application, it stores all the images in a special folder called iPhoto Library which organizes and keeps the track of the precise locations. There are also some data files which are created in this process to help the proper organization of photos in iPhoto.
While working with iPhoto you do not actually go into the iPhoto Library and use its resource rather you use the interface of the iPhoto only. You will understand how the things work in iPhoto only when you encounter any kind of issue with iPhoto. Some of the files and folders that you will find in iPhoto Library are –

- AlbumData2.xml – This folder is created in iPhoto 8 and its later editions and contains data of different albums and events.
- Cache – This folder is introduced in iPhoto 8 and later versions which contains some additional data’s.
- Contents /PkgInfo – This contains the creator code of iPhoto 7 and later versions.
- Some other folders include face.db , face_blob.db , Pod Photo Cache , Library.Data and Metadata backup .
